Call for Volunteers
Hello everyone! I am currently looking for Volunteers for my current work titled ‘Compassion Fatigue.’
The work is a multimedia piece consisting of video and still photographs. ‘Compassion Fatigue’ explores how individuals react to disturbing imagery shown to them on a loop for 18 minutes. It records how their reactions change from the first minute to the last. It explores what our coping mechanisms are, how and when we ‘switch off’, how different people react to the same content, and how the repetitive media cycle fatigues us by overexposing us to this type of horrific imagery over and over again.
The work is supported by the National Association of the Visual Arts through the New South Wales Artists Grant Program and will be present as an exhibition in December 2012.
If you would like to be apart of this project and are willing to give up half an hour of your time, please contact Me, Meredith Schofield at email@example.com or on 0404 799 019 with the times you are available.
